Have you ever seen the image of three monkeys: one with their hands over their eyes (Speak no evil) over their ears (hear no evil) and then their mouth (speak no evil). This seems to be the formula for accountability when it comes to MAD CHURCH DISEASE. All too often the culture of the IC, demands this response to crisis, scandal or blatant sin. Parishoners are TRAINED to HEAR NO EVIL (dont listen to anyone talk about yo pastor), SEE NO EVIL (If you see someting foul going down; ignore it) and SPEAK NO EVIL (Dont ask, Dont tell). The tragedy of it all, is that somehow this is "supposed" to be the more mature and more spiritual response.
